ஈழத்தமிழர்களுக்கு துரோகமிழைத்த இந்தியாவின் பரவசி மாநாடு மற்றும், கருணாநிதியின் செம்மொழி மாநாடு ஆகியவற்றை நான் புறக்கணிக்கிறேன்-பேராசிரியர் இராமசாமி

உலக தமிழர் பாதுகாப்பு மாநாடு ஏற்பாட்டுக்குழுவினரோடு பேராசிரியர் இராமசாமி மற்றும் அவரின் அந்தரங்க செயலாளர் ஜெயபாலன்

டாக்டர் கிருஷ்ணசாமி பேராசிரியர் இராமசமியிடம் உலக தமிழர் பாதுகாப்பு மாநாட்டு அழைப்பிதழை வழங்குகிறார்

ஈழத்தமிழர்களுக்கு துரோகமிழைத்த இந்தியாவின் பரவசி மாநாட்டையும், கருணாநிதியின் செம்மொழி மாநாட்டையும் நான் புறக்கணிக்கின்றேன் என்று பினாங்கு மாநில துணை முதல்வர் பேராசிரியர் இராமசாமி கூறினார். ஆவரின் அறிக்கை கீழ்காணுமாறு :-

இந்தியாவில் நடக்கும் புலம்பெயர்ந்த இந்தியர்கள் மாநாடான பரவசி மாநாட்டிற்கு பேராசிரியர் இராமசாமி அவர்களுக்கு சிறப்பு அழைப்பு விடுக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த அழைப்பானது, ஐந்து நட்சத்திர தங்கும் விடுதியில் தங்குதல் மற்றும் சிறப்பு வகுப்பு விமான டிக்கெட் ஆகிய செலவுகளை மாநாட்டு ஏற்பாட்டாளர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட பொழுதிலும், இந்த மாநாட்டை பேராசிரியர் இராமசாமி புறக்கணிக்கிறார். அதற்கான காரணத்தை அவர் விவரிக்கையில் கூறியது :-

"தமிழீழ போராட்டத்தை அடக்குமுறையின் மூலம் ஒடுக்க சீனா, பாகிஸ்தான் போன்ற நாடுகளோடு ஒன்றாக இணைந்து இந்தியா மாபெரும் துரோகம் புரிந்துள்ளது. ஈழ தமிழர்களின் வாழ்வுரிமை போராட்டத்தை ஒடுக்குவதில் இந்தியா ஆற்றிய பெரும் பங்கை எந்த ஒரு உலகத்தமிழனும் மன்னிக்க மாட்டார்கள். இலங்கையில் அரங்கேற்றப்பட்ட இனப்படுகொலையை ஆதரித்த இந்திய அரசு ஏற்பாடு செய்யும் இந்த மாநாட்டில் நான் கலந்துக்கொண்டால், இந்திய அரசின் செயல்பாடுகளுக்கு நானும் உடந்தையாக இருந்ததாக ஆகிவிடும். ஆகவே இந்த பரவசி மாநாட்டை நான் புறக்கணிக்கிறேன்.

அதேப்போல தமிழ்நாட்டில், தமிழக முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி அறிவித்திருக்கும் செம்மொழி மாநாட்டிலும் நான் கலந்துக்கொள்ளப் போவதில்லை; காரணம், இந்திய நடுவண் அரசு செய்த துரோகத்திற்கு உடந்தையாக இருந்தவர் இந்த தமிழக முதல்வர். கருணாநிதி ஏற்பாடு செய்யும் இந்த செம்மொழி மாநாட்டினால் உலக தமிழர்களுக்கு எந்தவோர் பலனும் ஏற்படப்போவதில்லை. பக்கத்து தேசத்தில் தமிழர்கள் துடிக்க, துடிக்க படுகொலை செய்யப்பட பொது, தமிழுணர்வோடு எதுவும் செய்யாமல் இருந்துவிட்டு, இன்றும் அகதிகள் முகாமில் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் அடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், இந்த செம்மொழி மாநாடு அவசியமான ஒன்றா?

கருணாநிதி நடத்தும் இந்த செம்மொழி மாநாட்டில் கலந்துக்கொண்டால், தமிழர்களின் வாழ்வுரிமை போராட்டத்தை மறந்து விடுவது போன்றதாகி விடும், ஆகையால், செம்மொழி மாநாட்டை புறக்கணிக்கும் அதேவேளை தமிழகத்தின் கோவையில் இனமானமுள்ள தமிழர்களால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கும் உலகத் தமிழர் பாதுகாப்பு மாநாட்டில் கலந்துக்கொள்கிறேன். மலேசியாவில் வாழும் இனமானமுள்ள தமிழர்கள், உலக தமிழர் பாதுகாப்பு மாநாட்டில் பெரும் திரளாக கலந்துக்கொண்டு உலக தமிழினத்தின் ஒற்றுமையை புலப்படுத்த வேண்டும். மலேசிய தமிழர்களான நாம், ஈழத்தமிழ் மக்களின் வாழ்வுரிமைப் போராட்டத்தில் கொண்டுள்ள கரிசனையை வெளிப்படுத்தும் அதேவேளை, ஈழத்து விடுதலை போரை கசப்பான முடிவுக்கு கொண்டு சென்ற இந்தியாவின் துரோகத்தையும் கண்டிப்பாக மறக்கவோ, மன்னிக்கவோ கூடாது. நன்றி."

Malaysian Government should hold an emergency Parliament session to discuss the “killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka" - Prof Ramasamy

(The Star - Tuesday November 24, 2009.) The Sri Lankan refugee situation resulted in heated exchange in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, with an Opposition MP telling Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillai at one stage to go “hang himself.”

Kohilan had just said the Malaysian Government had provided US$100,000 (RM338,000) to the Sri Lankan government to finance humanitarian efforts for the refugees when N. Gobalakrishnan (PKR – Padang Serai) accused him of being a Sri Lankan agent.
“This is a humiliation for the Tamil people. It’s better that you hang yourself,” he shouted at Kohilan.

Earlier, in reply to a question from Prof Dr P. Ramasamy (DAP – Batu Kawan), Kohilan had said Malaysia considered the conflict between the Sri Lankan government and the Tamil Tigers an internal matter.

He said the Sri Lanka government had cooperated with the United Nations in the resettlement of refugees from the Tamil minority group.

“The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon had visited Sri Lanka on May 23 to check to see if Sri Lanka had adhered to international treaties in the handling of refugees.

“His special envoy also visited the island state in a follow-up and submitted a report that the refugee situation was generally satisfactory.

“However, the return of the refugees had to be delayed for safety reasons because many land-mines had to be cleared first.”

When Dr Ramasamy asked the Government to hold an emergency Parliament session to discuss the “killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka,” Kohilan replied the matter was being handled by the Sri Lankan government, adding that a total of 78,000 refugees had been resettled to-date.

Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (PKR – Permatang Pauh) interjected:
“I was in Colombo recently. There is no seriousness on their government’s side to resolve the refugee issue.”

Kohilan accused Anwar of trying to be a hero to the Tamil community:
“I was also there. I’m shocked because what you said in Colombo is contradictory to what you are saying in Malaysia.”

Anwar took offence to Kohilan’s remark but Kohilan replied he would not retract his statement.
Gobalakrishnan told reporters in the Parliament lobby later he got upset because Kohilan’s statement on the Sri Lankan refugees was not in line with the views of most Malaysians.
At a separate press conference, Kohilan said Malaysia practised a policy of non-interference.

“Sri Lanka’s issue is an internal matter, unlike the Palestine-Israel conflict which is between two countries.”

Saying Gobalakrishnan’s call for him to “hang himself” was uncalled for, he added that Anwar had met Sri Lankan opposition leaders when there.
“The ruling government represents about 80% of the country, so when he listens to the minority, he might not get the right idea,” Kohilan said. TheStar

Concern over maximum 10 subjects for SPM - The Sun

GEORGE TOWN (Nov 29, 2009): Concerns have been raised that the federal government’s imposition of a maximum 10 subjects for SPM candidates would harm the future of Tamil and Chinese literature.

Deputy Chief Minister (II) Prof Dr P. Ramasamy said the policy should be amended to allow 12 subjects, so that those who wished to sit for Chinese or Tamil could do so without affecting the needs of their academic streams.

“The federal government decision to impose this limit will have far-reaching consequences,” Ramasamy told a press conference today.

Present was Penang’s Tamil Schools Sub-Committee chairman Dr K. Anbalakan, a history lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had announced in June the six “core” or compulsory subjects for SPM as Bahasa Melayu, English, Islamic Education or Moral Studies, History, Mathematics and Science.

The concern now was that a student would be forced to choose non-literature subjects for the remaining four options.

As an example, Ramasamy said, a science student would be forced to take Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Additional Mathematics, making it impossible for him to sit for Tamil or Chinese literature.

A commerce student would similarly be pressured to take accounts, commerce, economics and geography.

“If this goes ahead , it will be the death of Tamil and Tamil literature in our national schools,” he said.

“With students not being able to take Tamil as a subject, our Tamil schools will have a problem getting qualified teachers in the future,” he said.

All teachers in Tamil schools are required to have passed Tamil as an SPM subject.Ramasamy, who is also the Batu Kawan MP, said he was planning to propose an emergency resolution in Parliament against the current maximum number of subjects for SPM. theSun
